Improving lives in Pakistan and Bangladesh through sanitation and hygiene. One approach is Community Led Total Sanitation where communities build and maintain their own toilets and change their hygiene behaviors.
The South Asia WASH Results Programme, SAWRP, is led by Plan International and is leading a consortium with Unilever and Water Aid to deliver WASH results in Bangladesh and Pakistan. In Bangladesh Unilever is supported by WSUP to strengthen the sustainability of school hygiene interventions. SAWRP is predominantly a sanitation and hygiene programme with additional water supply interventions where there are gaps in service levels in programme communities.
