To recommend appropriate solutions for the sanitation needs of China’s poor people previously not provided with sanitation services
To recommend appropriate solutions for the sanitation needs of China’s poor people previously not provided with sanitation services and to help create an enabling ecosystem for new technologies, especially non-sewer system, in China, one of the world’s biggest potential markets for RT (reinvent the toilets).
To support a research to map out the gap in sanitation coverage in China which is supposed to be filled in by the toilet revolution announced by Chinese President in 2015, recommend appropriate technologies and solutions to those areas among which large part may involve non-sewer systems, and make an estimate on the cost if the government wants to successfully solve the problem. The research will become a basis for the Chinese government to make a policy decision and contribute to the success of the toilet revolution campaign.
