Purpose

Mobilizing citizens and authorities from Moldova to respect and realize the right to access to safe water and sanitation for all

Activities

The project empowered children and citizens to address their right to safe water and sanitation through their own action, initiative and participation. A special focus had been given to promoting good practices in water management (cleaning actions in river basins, water springs and water wells, trainings on sustainable management of the water resources)

Our international network consists of over 150 women’s and civil society organisations implementing projects in 50 countries. Safe Water and Sustainable Sanitation for All: We implement decentralised, safe sustainable and affordable sanitation systems for rural areas and promotes in particular access to safe water and sanitation for schools. We raise awareness and mobilises citizens for sustainable water and wastewater management and promotes community based and affordable water supply systems for rural areas without a centralised drinking water supply. Together with our partners, we represent civil society in the UNECE Protocol on Water and Health process and advocate for an integrated and sustainable approach to water resource and river basin management.
