Creating awareness about the Aquatron solid-liquid separation technology especially among policy-makers and to execute as many installations as possible
We are working to create awareness of this solid-liquid separation technology among decision-makers in the Indian central government and we also work with a number of Collectors, Sarpanches as well as other private actors with an interest in sustainable sanitation. Apart from this, we plan installations and provide support with the execution.
To create awareness of the technology and to achieve a number of Aquatron installations that will make a real difference in India.
On September 8th 2017, Aquatron was awarded 1st prize in the Swachhathon 1.0 competition arranged by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation. In short, it separates the solid and liquid waste only by using the momentum of flushing water, centrifugal force and gravitation. Thereafter the solids will quickly decompose into pure soil and the liquids with their NPK-content can be reused for irrigation or infiltrated to replenish the groundwater table. In a country like India, an onsite sewage treatment solution that enables full resource recovery is the need of the hour. Further details on how the technology can be used to solve some of the pressing sewage treatment problems India is facing can be found in the attached document.
