This report provides practical information on FSM costs for environmental and sanitation engineers and planners. Politicians and decision-makers can use it as a tool to integrate FSM into financial planning. A sound knowledge of the faecal sludge situation and of selected treatment options is required to benefit from this document, as it does not provide technical assistance on the working of treatment options.
