European “SDG6 NGO/CSO Meeting”

Borda and WfWP initiate a NGO & CSO meeting on SDG6 on 26 February 2016 in Bremen to jointly discuss how we can coordinate, cooperate and use our collective strength in water.

By joining hands, Borda, WfWP and partners aim to:
•Get a common understanding of the issues “ at hand”
•Send a strong signal from the NGO/CSO sector to keep the water agenda within the EC
•Strategize how to keep the Human Rights to Water and Sanitation on the European agenda, implemented and monitored
•Advise on getting a mechanism (e.g. dedicated intergovernmental coordination body) in place with sufficient mandates to further SDG6 and other water-related targets
•Decide on next steps.

The project database contains nearly 400 sanitation projects of many different organizations dealing with research, implementation, advocacy, capacity development etc. Advanced filtering functions and a global map are also available. Information on how and why this database was created is here.
