The fourth Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) of the series “Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste for Development” by Eawag is starting on May 1, 2017 and will be conducted for a week on coursera.org. This course gives an overview of what faecal sludge is about, an introduction to the engineering fundamentals and required information for the design as well as a selection of technologies.
This course is conducted in a complete week to understand the conditions and technology, that are needed to be considered for designing sustainable solutions. It concludes with a focus on current research and innovations in technologies, to provide an understanding of the most up-to-date options.
Target group:
This course is an introduction – the only requirements are an Internet connection and an interest in the topic. A general background in environmental or civil engineering, urban planning or geography would help to fully benefit from this course.
