This year on 18-19 November, to mark the World Toilet Day, the Ecosan Services Foundation is organising an event in Pune called Sanivation 2017.

Further Description / Program

The two-day programme will have fun events and seminars on sanitation. A summary of the programme is given below. The five events planned are:

• Urgent Run : A marathon for creating awareness related to water and sanitation
• Udyama : B-Plan competition for the Sanipreneurs
• Nirmalikaran : Making a sani-plan for the campus
• Prasadhan : Encounter with a public toilet (a photo-story competition)
• Kalpayita : T shirt design competition

As part of SANIVATION’17, the SuSanA India Chapter hosts a seminar called “Towards ODF+ Urban Maharashtra”. The seminar is organised by the Ecosan Services Foundation, the India Sanitation Coalition and the SuSanA Secretariat and will take place on 18 November 2017, from 2.30-5.30pm.
Recently, the state government declared all urban areas as ODF. This session will look at the situation on the ground and suggest what can be done to consolidate gains and next steps.
