The 27th SuSanA meeting will take place in Cape Town, South Africa on 16 February 2019 prior to the AfricaSan5 and FSM5. The meeting will be jointly organised by the Water Research Commission (WRC) and the SuSanA Secretariat.

Further Description / Program

This SuSanA meeting will lay emphasis on the following topics within the sessions, please find a more detailed draft agenda here. We intend to have a live stream of the meeting for the members of the SuSanA community who are unable to attend.

Session 1: Introduction and overview of recent developments
Session 2: Policy and Regulation
Session 3: Digital approaches and monitoring
Session 4: SDG6 and its interlinkages in World Café format
Moderated and expert-led group discussions on climate change, digital approaches, gender, "Leave no one behind", financing sanitation and WASH in institutions
Session 5: Wrap-up & Outlook

The project database contains nearly 400 sanitation projects of many different organizations dealing with research, implementation, advocacy, capacity development etc. Advanced filtering functions and a global map are also available. Information on how and why this database was created is here.
