We will be holding the planned collaborative virtual event themed ‘Ensuring safe, healthy schools during and beyond COVID-19: the vital role of sustainable hygiene, water and sanitation services’ on 2nd September, 2020 at 07:00-09:30 EDT (12:00-14:30 BST/WAT; 13:00-15:30 CAT; 18:00-20:30 ICT).
We are excited to have Kelly Ann Naylor, Associate Director, WASH, UNICEF and Frances Igwilo, Education Champion with Malala Fund from Nigeria join the event with key partners from government, civil society, media and development space across the globe.
Co-convened with WaterAid, End Water Poverty (EWP), WASH in Schools Network and Global Campaign for Education (GCE), the virtual event will outline the global status of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services within schools, and highlight national and global action to address this issue in the context of COVID-19 and beyond. Actors from across sectors, countries and contexts will share perspectives on the opportunities and challenges, to shape a clear action agenda for domestic and international investments in this area.
