One year after the COVID-19 pandemic was declared, countries across the region are at different stages of their preparedness, response and recovery and with varying experiences - they have observed different levels of resilience across their WASH, health and economic systems and have tried a range of responses. Some countries will have been through situations not yet faced by others, and have lessons to share.
Water and WASH Futures is convening this online symposium to encourage WASH practitioners to reflect, share and learn from our COVID-19 responses, to improve future responses to COVID-19, and to reflect upon readiness and ways to improve resilience to future pandemics and major disruptions, including climate change.
Participation in the WASH & COVID Pandemic symposium is free - there no financial cost, thanks to the generous support of our partners. However they require participants to register for tickets so that they can manage participation in different sessions.
Please note, the number of participants in symposium sessions is capped to ensure the best experience for everyone. So please, only register to sessions you intend to join. And, if you find you are no longer able to participate in a session for which you are registered, please change your registered sessions – this is important to ensure that your ticket can be made available for someone else to participate.
