Urban Sanitation Photostory Competition conceptualized by the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), New Delhi. NIUA is India’s leading think tank of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) on urban planning and development.
The Sanitation and Capacity BuildingProgramme (SCBP) of NIUA, India under the aegis of the MoHUA invite young students of Class 9th to 12th and graduate and post graduate students to showcase their potential through an exciting 'photo-story competition' on urban sanitation in India. The aim is to raise awareness around India’s urban sanitation scenario and its importance for urban development among the Indian youth.
The participants will be allowed to submit photograph(s) upto 5 along with an abstract/essay (upto 100 words) narrating one of the below themes:
1. Sanitation and climate change (Natural calamities effecting sanitation)
2. Innovative practices for achieving circular economy in sanitation (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle)
3. Inclusive sanitation (Sanitation for all)
The award winning photo-stories will be considered for publication in NIUAs magazine (eGov) and also exhibited at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi
