Thematic Discussion Series Webinar: The Sanitation Ladder - Next steps

In the upcoming Thematic Discussion Series Webinar, a short summary presentation of the thematic discussion will be made, and two discussion questions will be raised on the themes of: the post-2015 agenda, the future role of the functional sanitation ladder, and operationalisation of the sanitation ladder in the post-2015 period. We will welcome the opportunity for input from the Thematic Leads Elisabeth Kvarnström and Ricard Gine as well as from the attendees of the webinar.

On Friday, 27th February the 3-week thematic discussion came to a close, with over 60 detailed posts on the “Sanitation Ladder: Next Steps” discussion, on topics such as: alternative and complementary ideas to a sanitation ladder; implications of the SDGs and a functional sanitation ladder, particularly in terms of including equity, human rights and gender in the framework; defining “safe” sanitation; and adopting the functional sanitation ladder!
