By the end of the webinar, participants will be familiarized with the concept of climate resilient WinS and the UNICEF strategic WinS Framework.
The session objective is to share global and regional guidance on climate resilience and WinS.
The session will introduce climate resilient WinS and the UNICEF strategic WinS Framework. Following the presentation, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss practical strategies to address climate resilient WinS.
Climate change impacts, including extreme weather events such as severe droughts or floods, are
affecting education. Lack of water during droughts means children do not have sufficient water to drink in class and are not able to practice hand hygiene or good sanitation. Flooding can render facilities inaccessible or inoperable. Climate change impacts the costs, access to quality and sustainability of WASH services for households, schools and health centres.
