The International Faecal Sludge Management Conference (FSM2) took place in Durban, South Africa, from 29 to 30 October 2012. On the evening of the opening day of the FSM2 conference a SuSanA networking side event took place. The event was well attended with over 50 people in attendance. The discussions that took place in an open forum style centered around feedback to the secretariat on people's experience using the platform, suggestions for further improvement and the upcoming SuSanA strategy process was discussed.
A few ideas were shared about where the SuSanA network should be heading in the next 5 years and the current discussion taking place on the SuSanA forum about the SuSanA mission statement was also chatted about.
