How can we scale up urban sanitation for achieving the sustainable sanitation goals? This side event shared the work that SuSanA partners have collectively performed on making the global sanitation agenda more sustainable.

 

This meeting included an overview of SuSanA and current strategy process, regional experiences in sanitation and a discussion on the concept of regional SuSanA nodes.

 

The 17th meeting was held in Stockholm, Sweden on 31 August 2013 prior to the Stockholm World Water Week 2013 (SWWW). The meeting was hosted by the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and the SuSanA secretariat.

The project database contains nearly 400 sanitation projects of many different organizations dealing with research, implementation, advocacy, capacity development etc. Advanced filtering functions and a global map are also available. Information on how and why this database was created is here.
