Short Bio
At the core of my WHY is the fundamental belief that women and youth are the key to unlocking Africa’s potential through entrepreneurship. Coupled with my over 10 years’ experience as a sanitation expert in the region, I set up Usafi Sanitation to provide a wholesome approach towards sanitation. Our model embraces partnering with women and youth, who drive our behaviour change narrative and act as last mile agents of championing green toilet technologies and sustainable sanitation.
Motivation/Commitment to the GSC
I am a believer that with access to proper sanitation, we empower communities to be self-reliant and grow economically. I bring with me over 10 years of experience and knowledge. Working with the private sector and stakeholders, I believe this will be an opportunity not only be associated to the organization, but to support in its goals of overseeing SuSana 2.0 which I was a part of the Change Management Task Force, support in fundraising, resourcing and key aspects of organizational development.
