8th Emergency Environmental Health Forum |
On 12-13 April 2018, the informal Emergency Interagency WASH Group (ACF, Care, ICRC, IFRC, IRC, Oxfam, MSF, UNHCR, and UNICEF) held the 8th Emergency Environmental Health Forum (EEHF) in Berlin, Germany. The event was hosted by the German WASH Network in close collaboration with the Secretariat of the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) at GIZ. The scientific review process of research submission and agenda was supported by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The aim of the 2018 EEHF is: |
Theme:“Sanitation - a Forgotten Foundation of Health” is the theme of 2018’s EEHF. The research topic submissions were related to emergency WASH, including: Excreta Disposal and Management, Outbreak Control, Wastewater and Waste Management and Vector Control. Although sanitation is a priority under 2018’s agenda, the committee welcomed also operational research submissions concerning Drinking Water, Hygiene, Air Pollution and Quality, Tackling Undernutrition and Disease Transmission Dynamics. |
