The German Toilet Organization (GTO), in collaboration with the ecosan program of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), has developed a training program for German NGOs. The GTO has been inundated with requests from right across the NGO spectrum asking for assistance in understanding the field of sanitation, and in response GIZ and GTO have started a series of training sessions in late 2010.
Le cours de formation sur ecosan à l'Institut 2iE de Ouagadougou au Burkina Faso est présenté par la GTZ. Il comprend quatre modules ( tous en Francais).
Le 2iE est un Institut International Bilingue d´éducation et de recherche spécialisé dans les domaines de l´Ingénierie de l'Eau, l'Energie, l'Environnement et le Genie Civil. En coopération avec la GTZ et dans l'optique de parfaire la formation de ses étudiants dans le domaine de l'assainissement, a organisé un cours de formation sur ecosan mis en oeuvre entre le programme Eau et Assainissement de la GTZ au Burkina Faso , le 2iE et le programme ecosan de la GTZ.
The Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management (SSWM) Toolbox is a very comprehensive collection of tools and approaches to make water management and sanitation more sustainable. The toolbox was compiled by seecon, in cooperation with numerous Susana partners.
The "Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Improvement Training Package for the Prevention of Diarrheal Disease," provides information for organizations worldwide that seek to add WASH activities to their current programs or to start a diarrhea reduction program.
